This is a fine example of the Belle Epoque era. dating circa 1890, the central pear-shaped ruby, exhibits a rich saturation of color of Burmese origin, and shows no signs of heat treatment.

What was once a fringe piece of a necklace, this gem has been been mounted on a 18kt gold band. Accentuating the ruby is a delicate, diamond set crescent-shaped coronet with a diamond halo. This motif is a subtle yet distinctive element often seen in jewelry of the Belle Epoque period.

A sweet little gem for every day or to commemorate a special occasion.

Two more fine examples of antique saturated treasures. The antique twin heart cluster ring features a bright pear-shaped emerald is surrounded by diamonds and offset by a rose cut diamond, with coronet surmount. The antique opal, while small in size, displays gorgeous shades of blues and greens with reflections of pinks and purples.
